One of the most diverse and productive fishing areas in
the United States, Cocoa Beach offers anglers hundreds of
square miles of presteen waterways including the Indian
River Lagoon, Atlantic Ocean and Port
Canaveral. While this area is known for dreaming about
Jeannies, Ron Jon's Surf Shop and world class surfing, it
is still a bedroom community with a laid back atmosphere.
Six times world surfing champion and Cocoa Beach native
Kelly Slater often returns home to relax and enjoy the coastal
waters bordered by the Thousand Islands surrounding
Cocoa Beach in the Banana
River Lagoon.
Lagooner's Cocoa Beach Fishing Guides offer anglers expertly guided fishing trips to the Banana River Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon along with Port Canaveral and it's offshore sportfishing waters including inshore flats fishing and sightfishing for world class redfish and spotted sea trout or offshore deep sea fishing for giant cobia or reel spooling king mackeral.
When venturing offshore with a Cocoa Beach Fishing Charter you'll experience live bait fishing for King Mackeral the same way that most SKA (Southern Kingfish Association) tournaments pursue this spectacular species of "reel smoking" fish. You may also find yourself catching amberjack, mahi-mahi, grouper, snapper, sailfish and loads of other Florida Fish Species while bottom fishing Cape Canaveral shipwrecks and reefs.

To the west lies tens of thousands of acres of crystal clear grassflats teaming with large basking redfish waiting for that perfect fly presentation. Mangrove lined shorelines riddled with snook, tarpon and world class spotted seatrout border most of the lagoon and await anglers looking for what they hold beneath. Several world record fish have been caught in and around these estuaries and there is little doubt that more are just waiting to be caught today.
Adjacent to Cocoa Beach is Port Canaveral with it's rock jetties and light house pearing out to the eastern Atlantic ocean. Schools of Jack Crevalle swim anxiously around the water seeking to trounce on prey like pirahna. On the bouy line you can seasonally sightfish for cobia and tripletail, while the more adventureous push further offshore for king mackeral, wahoo, mahi-mahi, sailfish and marlin. Pleasure has no boundries here... there is something for everyone from the novice to the expert angler, Cocoa Beach has the most fishing excitment anywhere!
